'Lamination is the technique of manufacturing a material in multiple layers, so that the composite material achieves improved strength, stability, sound insulation, appearance or other properties from the use of differing materials. A laminate is a permanently assembled object by heat, pressure, welding, or adhesives.' - Lamination, Wikipedia
Etch Tech can call upon more than 30 years of experience in metal laminations. With our electrical steel laminations we provide products that are perfect for winding due to their being burr and stress-free. Etch Tech is able to manufacture and bond stacks of metal laminations (Both E & I), a process which is completely customisable to the requirements of the customer.
We have a wealth of experience in manufacturing and bonding stacks of laminations (both ‘E’ and ‘I’). In doing this both top and bottom resist layers are utilised, and insulation coatings added as required. Etch Tech's experience and precision expertise guarantees the circularity of both the individual laminates and stack.
E core is a variety of ferrite core materials with a high silicon content, and is consistently specified for precision motor applications. Etch Tech's chemical milling / photo chemical etching process is ideal for manufacturing laminations with this highly brittle material.
Etch Tech can supply Photo Chemically Machined Laminations in the following materials:
electrical steels
silicon steels
nickel-iron alloys
cold rolled motor lamination steel
